Talking ??

My 14 month old doesn’t say any words yet. 
Not even mama or dada
Does/did anyone have the same problem? 
When did your littles start talking?

I think there is way too much pressure on babies to talk so young. Don't stress about it just make words an extra priority. Lots of reading and flash cards, they will talk when they are ready.

I brought these concerns up with my son at his 15 month appointment. The doc shrugged off my concerns. I brought it up again at 18 months. Again he said give it another month. Now my son is 22 months and in speech therapy. We have a neurologist appointment next week bc autism is suspected. I wish I had pushed harder at the 15 month appointment!
I am NOT saying your child has autism. But if you are concerned, speak firmly to your doc. If you see ANY regressions (ex: they said momma for a while then stopped) or odd, repetitive behaviors, tell your doc. I didnt know some of those were signs, and I wish someone had told me this at 14 months just in case.

My brother didn’t talk until he was a little over 2. What helped him was being with other kids his own age and a bit older

That's sooooo early honestly. Most peds won't be concerned (in the absence of other issues/symptoms) until they reach age 2 & say like 5 or fewer words. My son was pretty late to start (like maybe a word or two by 18mo), but starting around 20 months he suddenly had an explosion of words, & now at 2y4mo he has a really extensive vocabulary (can name pretty much every animal at the zoo, for example) & speaks in full sentences much of the time.
