Boyfriend Jealousy

So I'm f17 and my bf is 19 but he's currently away at school. We've been dating for over 2 years and sometimes I get bored of being around my girlfriends because they can be a bit overdramatic, so I hangout with some of "my boyfriends friends". However we've been dating for over 2 years and live in a very small valley, so I've known all of them for almost my whole life. Is it wrong for me to be hanging out with "his friends" without him or is he just being overprotective? please be honest if I'm in the wrong lmk
