The author of Wicca: a year and a day is by Timothy Roderick. I also have read The Modern Guide to Witchcraft by Skye Alexander.

Wicca a year and a day. This is a daily book to guide you through your journey. I forget the author though. Very informative. I am just beginning as well and I love this book.
