High protein levels

Okay so my day started out super normal. I woke up, had some toast, got my step son ready and took him to day care. I had a OB appointment at 7:30, I got there a few minutes early & everything was peachy.

I go in, of course they take my BP and weight and a urine sample. Turns out my BP was high, my HR was high, & I had protein in my urine 🙄

The doc comes in, put the Doppler on my stomach to check the babies heart beat and it was perfect. However he sent me straight to the hospital for monitoring because of my BP and Urine.

When I got there my BP was back to normal and when labs came back the protein in my urine was over double the Normal range. They basically said they don’t know why it’s so high but that I have to collect my urine for 24 hours and drop it off tomorrow.

Wtf. Wtf. Wtf. I’m 37 weeks 2 days.

I am worried about pre-eclampsia but my BP isn’t high enough for that to even be a thing and the midwife said they’re not sure why my protein levels are so high. I’m all around just confused as hell. I’m tired. And I am annoyed that I have to take off work to pee in a jug.

Also... the whole 2 hours I was at the hospital I didn’t even have a contraction. The nurse said it showed that I had an irritable uterus which is normal in late pregnancy but nothing strong enough to be considered a contraction.
