Baby not napping at 7 weeks?!

My baby is 7 weeks today and literally will NOT nap during the entire day. If i do manage to put her down after she falls asleep (at my breast usually) then she’ll only stay asleep for max 30 min. She sleeps well at night but nothing amazing. Longest stretch was 6 hours and that was just one random night. Usually she wakes up every 3-4 hours at night. Is she getting enough sleep? She doesnt seem too temperamental

My guy does the same 😓. He had a stretch of a week and a half where he did really great with all of his naps! Now he’s back to waking up every 30-40 minutes and not wanting to nap. I can rock him for 45 minutes until he’s asleep but once I put him down he’ll open his eyes and just be awake. It’s super frustrating because I know he’s sleepy. His yawns and eventual fussiness are proof of that, but he fights it.

Mines 5 weeks and it takes a lot of energy to get him to nap during the day. He used to sleep fine in his bassinet. And now he will only fall asleep on me or on my boob. As soon as I put him down he wakes up. So now I’ve been laying in bed with him (he’s in his doc a tot) and just playing white noise on my phone and patting him to sleep. He fights it and it takes an hour or two for him to settle. Probably because he exhausts himself.

If she’s in a decent mood, I’d say she’s getting what she needs. If she wasn’t, she’d be cranky. It sounds exactly like my 7 week old, only he’s a bear the second half of the day. Lol.
