Lying?

My bf before we started dating told me that his body count was like 4 or 5, but about 5 or 6 months in it was revealed that his body count is two; me and the last person he was with. Why did he lie about it and should I still feel some typa way about it?

Usually guys feel pressured to have a high body count as if it’s ‘expected’ of them because they’re males. It’s nothing to worry about, my boyfriend did the same and it turns out he was a virgin just like me ! So don’t worry about it, it’s nothing serious, if anything you should be happy he hasn’t got round a lot

Honestly, I'd be happier knowing its that low anyway! He probably lied due to the stigma of not being "man enough" if you're not experienced. Still not ok to lie or justified, but definitely see why it may have happened.

Body counts are dumb, imo. But he probably lied to boost his ego, and not to intentionally be deceiving. My fiance has no clue what my body count is, because I say a different number anytime it’s brought up- for the sole reason that I think it’s dumb to ask or compare. It’s turned into a joke between us because sometimes I’ll say 30, and other times it’s 2 lol 🤷🏻‍♀️

When my boyfriend and I first got together I thought he was this bad boy who I thought was hot but I got bad vibes from (like he was trouble, etc). Well it turns out that he was just pretending. He wasn't anywhere close to be what he pretended. One thing he lied about was having a million girls. When in reality he only had me and the girl he lost his virginity too. I was very mad that he lied about so many different things and it still bothers me sometimes. We talked about it though and he told me he wanted to seem more cool than he really was. I think he was embarrassed about a lot of things and that's why he lied. I felt very relieved when I found out the truth though. He wasn't as bad as I thought he was. Just make sure he doesn't count to lie to you that's when it gets a little overboard.
