Update on 7 year old delayed growth???

Rosey🤙💅

I finally pressured and demanded some answers with the pediatrician after my 7 year old passed red stool last week. He has been having odd reoccurring symptoms and I just felt something is not right! Before the red stool, he did have episodes of diarrhea every couple weeks, they insisted it was his diet, then he started getting mouth sores on the inside of his cheeks routinely atleast once a month, Dr's insisted I promoted more frequent tooth brushing and cleaning and it wasn't of concern at this time because there was no fever. Ryland my 7 year old is Mexican and Italian he gets very tan, and I would notice how pale his mouth and face would get. I also notice big and scary looking bruising on his legs, which Drs say leg bruises are super common at his age because theyre so active, which he is very active. But he still had a very poor appetite. If he did decide he was hungry he would only want treats, sugar, candy or snacks. Last month he caught strep throat from his step sister while visiting his dads house, I took him to his pediatrician and they swabbed him and he tested positive he finished the 10 day treatment of amoxicillin, and seemed fine, but about 3 days later all his symptoms would come back, So I would go back and they gave me more antibiotics this happened 3 times before it finally didnt come back, I kept thinking and linking everything together and was immediately worried about his immune system. So fast forward to his recent Dr appointment after his bloody looking stool. I requested a new Dr and I am glad I did because after I explained the past year and all his symptoms, and showed her a picture of his stool. She immediately told me she is testing him for Pediatric Chron's Disease and told me he had every symptom, and looked at his growth chart and it showed little to know growth at all this past year, and the mouth sores and diarrhea sounded like flare ups of the disease. Although being told your child has a disease is terrifying to say the least, I am so thankful theyre finally doing lab work and stool sampling and actually realising something is wrong. His labs will be done monday and I have to get a stool sample during diarrhea episode. I originally wanted to ask although this is rare in children, Does anyone else have expierence with Chron's? As an adult or in a child?? I know I'm ahead of myself but if it is what they think and I've read up on it and it sounds exactly like him.. How does it effect your everyday life? Is it alot for a child during treatment? I can't wait for my buddy to feel better. That's what's the most important part to me.

We call him Roo he is full of life and energy! For such a small guy he has a big heart! Love this boy. Thanks for reading and answering any questions if possible. Thanks <3
