2nd pregnancy lightening 😩

Im 38 weeks today with my second baby. With my first things happened pretty quickly I felt off (not in pain) more of a gut feeling at 39.6w decided to walk to the hospital and as I was walking the contractions came hard and fast the 15 minute walk to the hospital turned into 30 and when I got there my contractions were 2 mins apart. My first born came a few hours later. Now with this one I’ve been in prodromal labour for 5 days now. I thought it was the real deal headed to the hospital and despite the contractions 3-5 mins apart for hours I wouldn’t dilate past 1 1/2cm so I was sent home. Now since last night I’ve been experiencing lightening crotch ! That intense painful stabbing feeling. Last night it happened about 3 times and went away so I went to sleep. Today I ran some errands and the lightening kept coming. To the point I had to stop and hold my crotch in the store 😩 I called the hospital and they said to wait and see if I get close contractions. But I keep reading that with second babies lightening can happen hours before active labour ! Should I prepare to have this baby soon? Any other moms experiencing this??
