Fed is best!

Every day my heart breaks to see women breastfeeding their babies and knowing that I am unable to breastfeed my own baby like a women should be able to do. For so long I always thought breast was best and that I will breastfeed all my children until reality hit after my 1st baby was born and after a few painful weeks of having an extremely concerning amount of milk I was diagnosed with mammary hypoplasia which mean you never develop enough breast tissue leaving you with low or no milk supply. This is rare and broke my heart to hear because my daughter kept loosing weight so I had to supplement her with formula to keep her healthy. At about 5 weeks postpartum my milk supply dried up completely and I wasn’t even able to supplement her and she was put on formula full time. After seeing my daughter gaining more and more weight and knowing she was healthy I came to terms that yes breast is best if it’s option but ultimately FED IS BEST. If you have a happy and healthy baby is doesn’t matter if they are formula fed or breast fed so long as they are healthy.
