Almost 5 months pregnant and not knowing?!

Okay so I’m going to start from the beginning here, since like FEBRUARY I haven’t had a period, and I had a whole bunch of symptoms of like a hormone issue. I was tired all the time, low Sex drive, dizzy, NO PERIOD. I didn’t think once that I could have been pregnant mainly because I’m a little overweight and wasn’t showing or didn’t feel sick. So I had made an appointment with my Gyno who didn’t have an opening at this point until July 23rd. (I called in late May to make the appointment.) so I scheduled my annual because I needed it and I figured I would just bring up my symptoms to her and see where things go.

Side note: Now I feel STUPID looking back and not thinking once that I needed to take a pregnancy test.

So July 23rd rolls around and I go to my appointment like normal. Of course my anxiety was running through the roof and I was thinking that I was gonna die or something. Lol. But I got called in and I got changed like we all have to, and once my doctor came in she greeted me happily and the first thing that came out of her mouth was “so have you had anything abnormal happen throughout this year?” And I was like aaccctttualllyyyyy yea. And I told her my symptoms and she immediately asked if I could be pregnant, and I told her straight up that it had never crossed my mind because I never felt sick and usually that’s the tall tale sign that you’re pregnant. So of course she gave me a pregnancy test, and sure enough it was positive. She took me across the hall and immediately got the ultrasound machine set up and once she did and the SECOND she placed the little handheld on my tummy... BOOM 💥... SHE TOLD ME BASED ON MY MEASUREMENTS THAT I WAS 17WEEKS PREGNANT. 17 WEEKS!!!

Ladies when I tell you that I was SHOOK...

But now, a week and a few days later, I’m 18w4d and I’m SUPER excited to be a mommy for the first time!!

My question to all of you is.. Have you or anyone you know gone through something like this?? I’m grateful that I’m having a baby but I REALLY didn’t think it was possible to go almost HALFWAY through a pregnancy and not feel anything at all 🙃
