Is it weird

To throw your own baby shower? I don't have a lot of friends and most of my "close" ones are too far away and I would hate to ask or inconvenience them. We moved to the country about a year ago and all we have for miles is my one and only retired neighbor lol. Even my mom lives 70 miles away from me and shes getting older, I'd hate for her to have to go through the stress of this on top of all she has to do (She still works and takes care of my older autistic brother). So my thing is, I know people will come if I plan far enough in advance...but is it weird??
