Your LO start holding their head up? My LO is 9 weeks old. She can kind of hold her head up on her own but still wobbly. When she’s on her back, she favors one side. I asked her pediatrican about it and he gave me exercises to do with her but she absolutely hates it. I don’t want to hurt her. Am I being paranoid? Does anyone have other suggestions? Help a FTM out ☺️

try sitting her on her butt while holding her from under her arms and try to get her to look up. everytime i lay my baby down on his belly he will hold his head up for a second then dig his face into the bed or whatever.

I think every baby moves on their own timeline. In all honesty, have you ever heard of a toddler who couldn't sit up or hold his head up (that didn't have neurologically developmental delays)? Or an adult who has issues from delayed lifting his head? Your baby will get it when he or she can, all babies are on their own timeline. Don't worry mama! One thing that helps us (since my baby HATES tummy time) is doing tummy time on our chest. We lay him belly down on our chest and he lifts his head to look at us or the wall or ceiling or whatever is capturing his interest. This has led to greater strength during tummy time so he can hold his head up longer now, which gives us a little more time before he starts fussing during tummy time! Try not to stress - I know it's easier said than done, but just remember that all babies learn to hold their heads up eventually. Just keep at it mama! You're doing great!

My daughter has really good head control at 10 weeks. I think around 5 or 6 weeks she could hold her head up while being carried on someone’s shoulder. Around the same time she started lifting it during tummy time.

My son has actually been holding up his head pretty good since he was born. I was shocked. Now I'd say he can hold it up still for a few good minutes before he gets a bit wobbly.
