Help! My 12m old hates reading!

When she was first born, our nightly routine would be bath, feed then story time. Then, when she transitioned to her crib, it evolved to no bedtime story. We have been reading to her since then but not every single night like before. Now everytime we read to her, she fusses, wants to close the book etc. She will turn the board books page when you tell her too if she doesn't want down already. Any advice?! I want her to love book especially for the language development. I know she's getting it elsewhere but still. TIA!
