Power of Attorney
I feel kind of upset over something that hasn't even happened yet. I am afraid that if I choose to get married my mother will still keep the general power of attorney on me and convince my spouse that he will need help in taking care of me. Does anyone know where this has happened to someone and the relationship never worked out, the person ended up divorcing the other and the parent was able to keep general power of attorney on their child. What are the rules for my mother keeping poa on me after I have been married, do they become null and void? What happens to the poa papers?
