Hey girls I was just wondering if birthcontrol ever made a difference in your acne or if it made it worse, I was thinking of going on birth control for the benefits of it and also because I got a boyfriend LMAO. But besides that point comment if it helped you or if you wouldn’t recommend it

It did help my acne. It also caused about a million problems and I had no idea for ten years. I had migraines, low sex drive, mood swings. When I got off birth control to TTC I started feeling so much better.

I was on NuvaRing and I loved it other than the fact that it tore my skin apart. My acne was terrible. But every person is different! Skin is almost clear after being off of it for nearly 2 years

I used TRI-Sprintec. It got rid of my hormonal acne instantly. But, if breast cancer runs in your family you’re not supposed to be on BC. I found that out after switching doctors, after being on it for 8 years 🙄 BUT only downside to BC in my opinion is the after effects when you quit it and your body has to regulate itself without the help of the BC. I had the worst acne for a year until my body regulated its self. Other than that I loved it lol it gave me super clear skin & controlled my hormones so I didn’t have mood swings.
