Is this normal?

My left breast has been bothering me and I was wondering if that white thing is normal? I only pump and not sure if my nipple should look like this. Does anyone else have that white thing?

I would call your doctor.
For my 1st month of nursing my nipples of never gone through such an experience. They did a kind of shedding.  You could basically see the pattern or angle at which my son had been suckling.  Mine didn't look like that, persei, but That is my experience with having a white on my nipples.
My lactation consultant so that was fine and then I was lucky that was all I had. No cracking, infections or fungus.

I'm laughing a little cause I freaked out about it too. That white stuff is a combination of things: dried milk, dead/shed skin, and sweat. It's not harmful. I used to scrape and scrub to try and get it off and eventually just leave it. It won't cause any problems, I promise
