IUI FAILED! When did you trigger?" /> 
So my first IUI failed. That's becuase I had 3 large follicles and triggered 36 hours before my first IUI. I am devastated that it was not successful. Anyone have a positive with triggering earlier than 36 hours and how many days did your spouse wait to collect sperm? 1, 2 or 3 days? 
Or did you continue to have intercourse the day before IUI and then collect day of?

I dont think it failed because of timing. You did the iui exactly when you are supposed to. The sperm dont have the advantage of hanging out in your reproductive tract waiting for the egg. Post wash sperm die a lot quicker in your tubes than regular semen (not sure of how much but I know it's not the usual 5 days). Also the trigger makes it so that you will ovulate 36 hrs later, not before that.
Your drs know what they are doing. The chances of iui being successful on the first try are about the same as a couple with no fertility issues timing sex right.
As far as having sex before, every office is different. Mine said to abstain 3 to 7 days but I know other people have said their office told them to do as much as possible. Part of our issue is male factor (I have issues too) so i think that's why they want us to abstain before. You should ask your office what they suggest and go by that.

Studies show it’s better to trigger 36-40 hours before iui. Listen to your doctor.

Our 3rd IUI was successful (I have a beautiful 2 month old). 
For that IUI we triggered and had the IUI 28 hours after. But keep in mind we also had sex the entire time around the IUI. For example, we did it the day before the IUI, the night of the IUI and both says following the IUI. 
I’m sorry it didn’t work but IUI’s are not 💯 successful. You have the same success rate as a couple who has no infertility issues. 
In hindsight, I’m not surprised IUI’s 1 &2 didn’t work because each time my body reacted differently to the drugs and it took practice nailing grown my ovulation time and timing it with IUI. 
Since we had intercourse, we don’t know if it was us or the IUI that ultimately resulted I our little guy.

I have done 4 IUIs all 24 hrs after trigger and none have resulted in a bfp. Sorry to sound harsh, but IUI doesn’t work (especially for unexplained infertility)

I triggered at 10:30pm on a Wednesday night and had iui at 10am on Friday morning.. no bfp.

My first iui worked. 1 follicle 26 mil post wash iui 32 hrs after trigger. Had sex the day of my follicle scan. So about 36 hr hold. Ended in Mc at 8 weeks. My first iui post d&c we did iui 18hrs after trigger and 10 mil after 3 day hold. Bfn because way to early. 2nd iui after d&c 3 follicles 40 mil post was 36 hr hold And 32 hrs after trigger bfn. It’s rare for it to work the first time. We quit after the second because mentally I wasn’t over my Mc. They say 3-6 is the optimal percentage of pregnancy

My fist time doing iui in 2016 i got pregnant on the 2nd try. In 2018and into 2019 we did 6 iuis in 7momths and had to take a brake. I just had my 1st iui after takine 6months off. I triger 24hrs before
