Does anyone have any tips for keeping their little ones calm at the barbers/hairdressers??

My wee one gets soooo upset and distressed when we try to get his hair cut. We have tried everything I can think ok, he took an ipad with him to watch stuff, we have taken snacks to distract him, we have clippers etc (not on obviously) that he plays with quite happily at home, my oldest son and husband let him watch them getting their hair done first, tried clippers, just scissorsetc etc but he just WON'T sit still or stop crying 😢 😢 😢
