I’m going to be a freshman in college and my bf is going to be a senior in high school and we’ve been dating for over 1.5 years. Would it be weird if I come home and go to his senior homecoming and prom? He says he would want me there if I can go but my friends say its weird if I go back

I went with my bf this past school year. I mean yea it’s kind of awkward because I didn’t know that class but i went for my bf. He went to mine my senior year so i should go to his. I bought me a cheap little dress from fashion nova homecoming dance and reused an old free for prom.
