My 4 month old seems to smile
More at his dad than me I feel such a bad mum what if he doesn’t end up having a connection with me?

At that time my LO was home with me all the time and did the same thing. He smiled at my husband more. My husband even got his first giggle out of him. I think my LO was honestly just bored of staring at my face all day lol. Now my LO is 18 months and since I've gone back to work when he was a year old he has been 'attached to my hip' the entire time we are together. I'm even off this summer so we are together every day again and he is still very attached. You are not a bad mother!

Yeah my son will still only call out for his dada but we have a stronger connection. He loves us both. 
And baby is young and just learned to REALLY smile most likely. 
My son would only smile for other people. I chalked it up to him being happy to see a different face LOL it’s always me and him. If I get tired of only talking to baby all day, I’m sure he gets tired of only seeing me every day too.
