Long Distance Relationship

Hey guys! I️ recently started dating a guy i knew from high school. He’s active duty in the military. We had a chance to go on just one date before he had to leave to go back. We haven’t put an official label on the relationship but we talk as if we were official and even talk about dates to go on when he comes back. He’s told me many times he really likes me but my biggest fear out of all of this is that within the 9 months that he’s going to be away for his deployment the relationship will fade away. The communication so far is definitely there but I’m curious to see ways you ladies think I️ can keep the relationship alive and not make him lose interest in me.
