Are you close with your children’s father’s family ?

They never come visit us or our daughter. They never call to check up on us or anything.

My daughter’s Aunt just spent the week with me. I’m on bedrest so she came to help us out. We are pretty close and they definitely try to be involved and help whenever.

We were finally blacklisted by his mom last month 🙏 His dad and his sister keep in touch but they live far away and are busy with their own stuff so I don’t take it personally that we don’t see them much.

Our son is the first grandchild on my husband's side so they try to be involved. Sometimes they can be way too overbearing, but at least they care.

My husband doesn't speak to his mother and father and the rest live in another country so my LO has never met them. 🤷

I was close with them until my son came 4 months ago. Then they just disappeared. They only come around when his daughter is here and dont even say hello to our son.

You can't make anyone care so I dont plan on trying. And I've stopped sending photos. You want to be in his life and watch him grow? Then do it, I'd not I'm not going out of my way to do anything for you.

My husband's family try to check up on us every once in awhile it's hard cause most of his family(mom, dad, siblings) all live in Kenya but his grandparents live down the street from us, we try to see them as much as we can but life gets in the way. They can be a little much but they are just wanting to love on their first great- grandaughter.

I'm closer to my husbands family than I am my own family. I feel blessed we have such a great relationship. My daughter visits her grandma biweekly when we go to dinner with her, her grandpa visits us from Cali every few months.

Yes our families are close. We host Friday night dinners every week and there always some combo of each of our family here. Not everyone can make it every week and that's fine but it's great to get our kids all together and for some adult conversation.

I see my mil and bil more than my own family. They're the only ones really involved with my son. My mom has no interest unless I bring him to her and she's always either doing something and their house is not baby proof. My sister is more likely to come visit since she moved back to our state but she had 4 boys herself and it's hard to get them all packed up. I try to go see her at least once a week.
