Menstrual cups?

I’m thinking of trying out menstrual cups but I don’t know squat about them. Are they safe? If anyone has tried them, how do they work? Were there any problems I should worry about? Is there a particular brand that’s better than others?

Okay— so about cups for one: typical care includes boiling it both before and after your period. You know, kills the germs. And when you pour out the blood in the toilet, rinse and wash. I use a soft Johnson and Johnson soap. I don’t know if that’s valid technique— but I think it’s supposedly better care for the material. 
The hard part will be insertion at first. You kind of have to figure it out. It WILL be scary at first; you probably WILL fail at first. You will probably leak— at first. And it will probably be “not far up enough” or positioned incorrectly and cause pain. DO NOT panic 😂 It has a learning curve. Watch some YouTube videos on how to fold it to insert. Try masturbating first to lube up your vaginal canal (and your canal actually widens here as well), helping with insertion. 
To take it out: Get yo fingers up in there. You will want to take a finger and press inward to break the seal of the cup (it will hurt if you dont). Squeeze inward, kind of “re-folding” to pull it out again. My best technique is to push like you’re pooping, over the toilet, and it makes the process SO much easier. That way has also helped me master the “public bathroom changeout challenge.” 
As far as brands, etc. I believe there is a nice chart online that may help you decide. For a typical woman who has never given birth, the smaller sizes work well. Also, if you do a lot of sports (which produces relaxin, and makes your... pelvic floor relaxed), a sturdy cup (like the Diva Cup) is bomb. If you have a sensitive canal, are very tight, or what have you, the Luna Cup is very soft. Honestly, that cup might be good for beginners anyway— as a soft cup is less intimidating.

Menstrual cups are great I've been using one for about a year I tried the diva cup and didn't like it that much I definitely try the ssalt cup
