So I’m 1/4 Mexican and my friend who is a halfbreed said I’m not Mexican enough to be considered part Mexican but she had her daughter with a white dude so her daughter is 1/4 and she calls her mixed so like ???

actually with genes it’s not always 50%/50%, you can have more Mexican genes than her daughter, it just depends on what combos you’ve gotten from your parents, like you could have gotten a little bit more dna from your Mexican parent and you could be like 67% Spanish or something like that, it’s not just split down the middle like most people think. 
That’s why siblings don’t all look exactly alike, except identical twins, because identical twins have the same exact dna while normal siblings have different percentages of dna, that’s why sometimes if they’re mixed some of the kids will look more race than the other. 
It’s also why there’s those twins where ones white and the others black, and they have black parents, because the white one happened to get the “white” genes that the parents where carrying, making her look white.
