Toddler transitioned to a bed. Now what?

If she stays over her grandparents, can she still stay in a crib? Or should it be another bed? A mattress on the floor maybe? I’m so confused!

We went the other way- he outgrew the crib at my parents house so they’ve put him a double mattress on the floor with long pillows etc around the edge and he absolutely loves it. We’re having trouble getting a stair gate that fits his bedroom or anywhere else that would be safe because our house is super old with weird sized and door frames and lopsided walls (great amount of character, though!) so for now he’s still in his crib at our house but he sleeps absolutely fine in either one :)

I feel like if there’s a possibility of her getting out of a toddler bed at the grandparents and running around getting into things a crib should be fine, but if you know she’ll be good in a toddler bed then probably use one of those, it’s best to be consistent with things like that so they stay used to it, but if safety is a concern it’s best to go the safest route
