Shld i let it go?

I really really like this guy who is a year older than me but two years grade wise. He hardly knows me and we don’t talk at all. But i can’t stop thinking about him and I’m reminded by him constantly. I feel like I’m meant to be with him even though that sounds cliche it’s just that I’ve gotten so many signs about him but i also don’t think it will happen. I’ve tried to get over it but i always end up falling for him again. Should i cut it off once and for all?
