9 month leap! - baby will not let me put him down! 😪

Hi everyone

Just wondering if anyone else is going through the same thing. Since my little boy turned 9 months he’s been so clingy, cries when put onto the floor or when I leave the room. He’s fine when at nursery but terrible when at home or anywhere else 😬 it’s so exhausting! I know separation anxiety is big between 9-12 months and that during this leap they are figuring out the world and it can be scary for them hence the clingyness.

Anyone else had the same experience? Either from current or previous babies?

How can I help? I don’t let him sit and cry so please dont advise the CIO method - but anything else would be super helpful.
