baby only sleeps in my arms

any time i set him down in bassinet in 5-10min he’s stirring and wakes up.. so he can only sleep sound in my arms or on my chest. which means i’m getting virtually no sleep. during day he will sleep in swing sometimes for a hour tops. and only sometimes. i miss sleeping next to my husband, as i am on the couch so he can get rest for his 10 hour work day. suggestions? i keep him swaddled in bassinet as well for those 5-10 min lol help
