A loving relationship
Hi I just wanted to remind myself and other women that not everything is hopeless!
I’ve been in a relationship with the man of my dreams for about 8 months now, and have known him for about 10 months. We have been living together for our entire relationship and have faced many challenging situations together (i was sexually assaulted, some of his old friends stole around $3000 from him, and a shit ton of roommate issues) which have inevitably made us stronger and more reliable on each other. We recently went on a trip for 6 weeks to Europe (Sweden, England, Greece, Germany) which was amazing and I will cherish forever.

Honestly everything is great and we have such a strong bond. Despite everything, we still have issues sometimes but the important thing is to know that these problems are minuscule compared to reality that we honestly want to be together and do whatever is necessary to keep it that way. Our problems solely stem from my personal trust issues because I have parents with a very turbulent relationship, which in turn makes me act childish or irritable towards him when he has done nothing wrong. Things simply like a naked girl popping up on tv when my boyfriend is in the room completely turns me off and makes me raging jealous.
I just wanted to post about our relationship to reminder myself and whoever else needs to hear it that if you have issues in your relationship it’s really important to figure out what the issue is. Who has the issue. And how to solve it. It’s not easy, I know, to get over your triggers but if you have trust and honest love in your relationship then you need to realize that if you are the issue, the only way to maintain your relationship is to confront the issue head on and communicate with your SO what triggers you and how you two can work together AGAINST the trigger rather than have the trigger work against your relationship.
Anyways if anyone took the time to read this it’s kind of a mess but I felt like I really just wanna see more relationship positivity and growth on here. Thank you for taking the time to read my little happy rant, everyone have a great day, spread the love
& remember to comment your thoughts on what I had to say! ♥️
