Too early to try?

Question

So I had a missed miscarriage 4-5 weeks ago and today I got surgery to remove the pregnancy, I only got to 5.5 weeks gestation so it was a very simple procedure. I know I cant have sex for 2 weeks or insert anything but when can I start trying again? I know I will have a really rough time with my next period and just want to know how long it is recommended to wait (I was a last minute surgery so got very little information about this).
If anyone else has been through this (d&c under general anaesthetic), personal experiences would really help!

So the science out there doesn't back what doctors say doctors say to wait a couple months however science says or at least no science can disprove that there's any benefit to that. In fact they say you're more fertile 2 to 3 months after a miscarriage. Many doctors want you to emotionally recover more than physically. I had my pregnancy removed in October and I was pregnant 5 weeks later it took my. 3 weeks to get back to occulation and then I was pregnant.

I had a D&C about three weeks ago and was 14 weeks when the baby stopped growing at 10 weeks. My OB told me to wait two periods. I've read all the info about the 3 months fertile window, but honestly I'm terrified of something happening if I don't wait the time that my doc said as silly as that sounds.

My doctor told me to wait two weeks but I could start trying before my next period if I wanted. She said couples who start trying within three months are more likely to get pregnant again and have a live birth, but not necessarily that you are more fertile in those three months.
