I think I was misdiagnosed. Help!

I need some help. About 3 years ago I was diagnosed with PCOS by my OBGYN. In November 2018 I started seeing a fertility specialist bc we were ready to conceive. After my first 4 months he told me that I didn’t have PCOS and he couldn’t figure out why my regular OBGYN had diagnosed me with it. He showed me all of my bloodwork and everything looked normal and after the first 4 months of ultrasound there were no signs of PCOS on my ovaries. Well, fast forward to today. I went in for routine visit on CD 11. We are going to do an IUI on Monday. So, he did my usual ultrasound and diagnosed me with endometriosis today. He says I have an endometrioma (sp?) on my ovary. It’s 3mm in size. My question is... how would he not have seen that in the previous 28 ultrasounds he has done? I’m thinking it may not be a correct diagnosis... I have zero pain. Periods are normal. Sex isn’t painful. Would this have shown in previous ultrasounds. He has literally done 4 ultrasounds a month since November.

Endometriosis is not diagnosable unless visually seen through laparoscopic surgery!! He basically seen a cyst that is common with people who have endometriosis(same cysts are normal for non-endo people) don’t assume you do unless you’ve have the surgery to see that you do.

I’m assuming because you’re doing IUI you’re on meds? Some meds cause cysts to grow. Like clomid, femara, basically hormone meds. So it could be nothing or could be a actual endo cyst. Endometriosis sometimes has zero symptoms or symptoms that you don’t think it is endo.
