Eye infection during pregnancy, where to go?

Hi ladies 
I think I woke up with a eye infection
My clinic I go to takes appointments and seems full 
Where do I go when pregnant and might have a eye infection ? Do I still go to the clinic and wait or any hospital ?

An eye infection has nothing to do with pregnancy so you would go where you would have gone before you were pregnant

Can't you just go to a GP? I don't understand why you'd go to a hospital for this.

Walk-in clinic will say it’s pink eye and give you antibiotics because that’s pretty much all they can do and are trained to do. If it is bacterial pink eye, then the drops will help. If it’s viral, the drops will not help and it just has to run its course. An ophthalmologist (not optometrist) can determine if it’s bacterial or viral, but they won’t be open until Monday. 
I just went through this a few weeks ago. Ended up on prescription anti-virals pills and steroid eye drops because it just wasn’t improving after weeks - so red, puffy, and itchy to the point of crying, but the “goop” was gone. We had to postpone our family photos and it was such a pain.
