What is happening?

Hi I’m about a week and a half out from getting my period but I never get symptoms this early. But my boob have swelled so much they don’t fit in my bras and my nipples have been poking out like it’s January and I’m outside naked. My boobs tend to get a little sore but have never swelled and hurt so bad like this unless I was starting a new birth control which I’m not even on so there is a slight possibility of pregnancy. Should I get a test or wait until the week of my period and see if I get it?
