Can brown discharge mean pregnancy? Or does it mean the beginning of a period?

I don’t think I have experience brown discharge before my period is about to start.

Where are you at in your cycle? Brown is usually indicative of old blood (blood that took a little longer to be expelled). Spotting can occur due to a number of reasons, though and doesn’t indicate pregnancy in itself. If you’ve just started trying, you’ll probably start noticing a lot of things going on with your body you never noticed before. Keep an eye on it, and test when/if you miss your period! Good luck!

Unfortunately, only time will tell. Implantation bleeding is actually pretty rare, so chances that it's your period starting.
