Any of ya’ll have IBS? How do you stop symptoms from coming?

Answer

I made a food diary for 2 weeks and wrote down how i felt and looked for patterns to see what my trigger foods might be and cut them out 1 by 1 til i knew, my main triggers are lettuce and rare cooked meats. Also if i have too much fibre that makes me bloat. 
Unfortunately stress can also make IBS a bit of a nightmare for a lot of people, if im stressed it usually makes mine loads worse and sometimes that can’t be helped.

I agree with the other commenter. Make a food diary and see what your trigger foods could be and eliminate them. The other thing you can do is the FODMAP diet, but if your IBS isn’t really bad I wouldn’t recommend it as this is a super restrictive diet you have to go on for several months and then slowly reintroduce foods one at a time to see if your symptoms come back. If they do, that food is a no go for you.
