Back labor pain?

Have any of you ladies experienced back labor? Could you describe it to me? 
I had some serious pain in my back today that radiated down the backs of my legs and to my ankles. Once I was home and had a glass of water and I took a nap I felt better, but the fact that the pain was that bad is a little concerning to me. I regularly see a chiropractor and massage therapist so I know I didn’t pull a muscle or anything.

For me it was really really tight pressure, it felt like my back was shattering and was so so painful. It was worse than anything I ever felt before. It came from my back and went around my stomach and to my pelvis which my pelvis felt like it was being shattered too and then to my legs. It just hurt so bad. I was in tears. I couldn’t handle it.

Felt like a deep muscle spasm in the back of my pelvis. I only knew they were contractions by timing them. Once I was around 4cm the spasm feeling would move all the way down my thighs, but I felt nothing in my belly

Honestly it felt like the worst period cramps you’ve ever had multiplied by a million.

For me, it felt like extreme pressure and tightening at the base of my spine. It would build up and build up until I thought my spine was going to break, and then it would go away. It came and went rhythmically just like traditional contractions

Sounds like your sciatic nerve to me! Back labor for me was a sharp pain localized to both sides of my spine.
