Which room to work in?
I was just hired at a preschool academy. I was interviewed for the infant teacher position, but today I was also offered the toddler teacher position because they think I would be good at implementing more curriculum. They said I can choose which I want though.
Pay is the same in each room. I could have 4 babies or 5 toddlers by myself, so not much difference there.
Right now the infant room has an 8 month old, and in about 7 weeks I will have a 6 week old in there (who is also the owner’s son). There are currently 3 toddlers enrolled between ages 18-24 months.
Both rooms have curriculum to follow, and I would have to make weekly lesson plans.
I love both age groups of kids and gave worked with both in previous daycares. I’m so torn about which one to take!
