So my boyfriend has a girl best friend, and it has been making me insecure because she comments things on his posts like”I miss you” and “i love you (insert name)” and he comments back like hearts things like that. And I had a talk yesterday how it made me feel I told him I didn’t want him to stop being friends with her it’s just that things are different now, not saying I’m controlling who he gets to have a close friendship with I just want respect. And he completely understood, and in the past he has said things like “oh yeah she needs someone like me” and it made me think that he liked her or something and that’s why I’m trying to build my confidence and just communicate with my partner. He also put himself in my shoes and said He wouldn’t want that either and understood where I was coming from. But what do you think? In my opinion your partner is supposed to treat you special and different and them treating that “girl best friend” the same makes you both on the same level and why date? Anyways... Are you okay with your boyfriend/girlfriend having a best friend other than you?
