So as a ftm I obviously have no idea what labour feels like... But since around 8pm last night I've had some pretty strong period pains, I slept through it from around 12-3am, and then woke up with stronger pains which I can time, but they are inconsistent, lasting around 40 seconds and occurring between 4-10 mins ish.

I have not lost my mucous plug yet... But I just had a bath and after went to the toilet, when I wiped there were some clumps of mucous.

Does this sound like early stage labour?? Or is it possibly just fake contractions/braxton hicks? (I haven't had braxton hicks during my pregnancy either so not sure what they would feel like). Any advice would be appreciated!!
