Lupron?

Lupron was mentioned to me as a possibility before doing the end all hysterectomy. My doctor may no longer want to do Lupron but I want to know those of you on it do you like it has it helped? I haven’t been in intense pain but my periods are every other week and I’ve been cramping I move around more than I did before and I’m wondering if that’s why I don’t hurt as much? Anyways. Lupron give me the good bad and ugly.

I was on it for 6 months, I hated it.  I gained weight and had a lot of side effects...the meds they gave me for the side effects made me sicker.  It didn’t help with the endometriosis.  I saw a pelvic pain specialist who did a more aggressive surgery and did pelvic floor physical therapy, that was 2011 or 2012 and (knock on wood), I’ve been mostly good since.  The pelvic pain specialist also gave me an IUD...unfortunately my body didn’t agree, but while it lasted that helped, too.  I didn’t have irregular bleeding problems though.

A hysterectomy will not cure endo. Only expert excision surgery can remove it.

I was on it for 3 years. I went from 130lb to 230lb. It is actually bad for endometriosis. It made mine extremely worse than before. I would do research. Everyone is different though.
