Did a membrane sweep work for you?

Just had my membranes swept today and really hoping baby comes out soon! 39W4D. If membrane sweep worked for you, how long after you had it did baby come? Hours/days?

It won't work if your body and baby aren't ready. I had one at 40w6d and went in active labor 5 hrs later and had her 8 hrs after I went in labor.

I had 2 sweeps with my first, one at 39w and one at 39w4d and neither worked. I was 3cm and 80% effaced for both.

I had a membrane sweep at 40 weeks, didn't work, had him 5 days later.

Caused my water to break but didn't actually go into labor. Had to be induced 24 hours later. Definitely not doing a sweep this time around.

Had mine done on a Monday at 39w4d. Water broke a day later and delivered 34hours after water broke.

My sister had one, and 4 hours later was in l&d and had her baby 6 hours later.

Had one done at 38 weeks and 4 days and then had my daughter at exactly 39 weeks. I’d say it worked for me
