Relactation?

I got sick about a week after I had my son & ended up staying in the hospital for a week. my baby couldn’t stay with me there & I didn’t have a pump. So my milk supply dropped & ive been formula feeding since. My baby’s 7 weeks now & I’m just starting to feel like things are settling down. My breast aren’t completely dried up they are still dripping I can pump maybe an oz per day. Will I even be able to get my supply back up? I would really appreciate some encouragement / advice thanks ❤️

How often are you pumping? 
There are several ways to relactate. But it takes tons of work and dedication to get it going again.
1). Pump and pump often. Generally I till you are producing enough milk to feed your baby for the day (around 30 oz) then you should pump every 2-3 hours even at night. 
2). Get plenty of water. Aim for a gallon (120 oz) a day. 
3). Get plenty of calories per day. A normal healthy diet requires 1200 calories a day to keep going. When you are breastfeeding you burn 20 calories for every ounce you make. If you are making 20-40 oz a day then that’s an additional 400-800 calories a day you need to consume to produce milk. If you aren’t consuming enough calories your supply will suffer
4) you can try supplements: fenugreek, mother milk tea, oatmeal, lactation cookies etc. these are all said to increase milk supply but I say that with a warning. Some times it has the reverse reaction and decreases supply. It can even give your baby an upset tummy and make them fussy. Fenugreek will make you smell like maple syrup. 
5) sleep... if your body is lacking on sleep it won’t produce well. 
6) most of all. Supply = demand. Your body won’t know it needs to produce more if it doesn’t get demanded to do so. So pump like crazy.
