Is it possible to avoid the TERRIBLE TWOS?

I don’t think just because they turn 3 means you’re out of the woods. I think terrible 3s was more like it with my children. 2 wasn’t so bad.

I said yes because I don’t think the terrible twos is a thing. 3 is really the worst. At least this was the case with both my nephews

My son was such a good baby up until 2. He definitely went through a terrible twos stage and now we are on to the threenager! He has the best selective hearing of any 3 year old I’ve ever encountered.

My dad is a pediatrician and he swears most kids are worst at 18-20 months and then again very late 2’s/early 3’s. He says, in his opinion, terrible 2’s is just catchy, so it’s stuck, but oftentimes 2 year olds are easier than the phase right before they turn two and right around when they turn 3. Obviously it varies by child, but he’s worked with thousands of kids, and that’s the trend he’s mostly witnessed. 
Every age is going to have its challenges though and there’s always going to be wonderful days and days where you just want to rip your hair out from frustration.

My son didn’t go through terrible twos....Now he’s 3 and he’s in the testing phase..so that’s fun. So I agree with the other post, it depends on the kid

I think it depends on the kid, my nephew is one of the chillest I’ve ever seen but I have encountered some demons as well. 🤣
