i am still with the person who gave me genital herpes. we weren’t seriously dating at the time. it’s not like he cheated or anything. so yeah we’re working on it and i think i’m having an outbreak. i took Valtrex for 5 days in a row. the burning is very minimal now when i pee. we’ve been away for awhile and really want to have sex. should i just wait until there are completely no symptoms or am i in the clear?

Also, we have given each other oral and neither of us had an oral breakout ever.. is it possible that giving oral not during an outbreak won’t result in oral herpes? if that makes sense.
