Put myself out there 😔

I have a group of friends in college. And I was really liking one of the girls. So I put myself out there and let her know. And she didn’t even respond 😔. Not saying she owes me a response. It may be awkward for her, and I actually wasn’t going to say anything. But when I told her I wanted to ask her something I initially said never mind because I don’t want to be awkward. But she said it won’t be awkward just tell me. It took me three days to say it, because I didn’t know what her response would be in I didn’t want it to be awkward for us as friends if her response was negative. Now I almost feel embarrassed.
