Went to the doctor and told him about my terrible anxiety that I’ve had forever. He told me it was depression accompanied by anxiety. So he gave me a prescription for lexapro.

I started taking it Saturday night and I feel strange. My fiancé has been taking it for about a year and he said it would take a week to start feeling the effects.

The doctor told me to take it at night for the first week, as it may make me groggy. Ive been sleeping fine, but I wake up with the same feeling as when I used to take benadryl at night. Jerky/shaky, dry mouth and eyes feel wide.

Also, I feel like I’m getting the onset of a cold. That may have something to do with it. I’ve had a cold clammy sweat all day, and I had very sweaty armpits, giant visible stains all day.

In the mean time while the medicine is introducing itself into my system, what things can I do to help the initial side effects?
