Tips for learning Russian Language

I FINALLY started my journey to becoming fluent in Russian. I always said I would but put it off. Anyways I’m working on learning the alphabet and being able to hand write all the letters, learning their pronounciations, etc. then I’ll go onto learning words and sentences. Does anyone know how to make the process faster? I don’t want to take a year or more to learn it fluently... I don’t know anyone who knows the language though. My husband is also learning with me so that does make it easier so we can try communicating in this language together
