Can your baby stand on their own and if not at what age did they?

My babygirl is 10months old and just started crawling about 1 1/2 months ago, she attempts to stand but can not stand on her own.

My son is 10.5 months. He can stand on his own for a few seconds- usually when he is playing with something and forgets to hold on- but then quickly falls down. In my mother’s group most of the babies are still holding on to stand. Only 1 of the 6 is standing by themselves (and they are actually walking).

My son started standing by himself at about 8.5 months. But my friend has a 12 month old girl and she can’t yet and she started crawling around 10.5 months. I wouldn’t be too worried.

My daughter will be 11 months on the 1st and will let go and stand on her own for a few seconds. Seems like it’s starting to happen more often and for a little longer (maybe 5-10 seconds) this past week. She also tries to walk but then falls on her knees or face plants 🤣. She’s fearless and doesn’t care that she can’t walk yet she’s going to try anyways!!
