crying it out at 7 weeks?

i just wanted to get everyone’s opinion on this. regardless of how you feel about sleep training in general or cry it out method, do you think it’s ok to let a 7 week old cry it out? my friend who’s daughter is 7 weeks says she lets her daughter cry it out to go to sleep at night and she even let her cry for 30 min before going in her room. (she also doesnt sleep in the same room as her) her pediatrician said not to sleep train until 4 months and i tried telling her that crying it out is a form of sleep training and it’s not good for infants that young. she told me that her dad did it with her and she turned out fine

idk what do you guys think? is that too young to cry it out or am i too cautious?
