Settling ?

My boyfriend and I have known each other since Nov 2018. We began dating Jan 2019. A few months ago he moved into a room with my son and I here at my mothers house. We have an age gap. I’m 20 and he’s 30. Always a decade apart considering our birthday is the same month. Before we started dating I rejected him. I didn’t want to be with a man, because at the time my son was 5 months and I didn’t want to bring any man into our lives unless he was gonna be there permanently. Now, for some reason I made an exception with this man. Don’t get me wrong. It wasn’t the worst choice. He’s a great stepfather, he’s very compassionate, patient, and understanding and super supportive. While that may be the case, I find myself feeling so unsure so very often. Sometimes it’s in my mind that he can do better, and at the same time it’s like I can do better too! It’s our personalities that makes me think this way. My only question is: If you’re doubtful and uncertain and sometimes even regretful... if you stay anyway... are you settling?
